Wendy Claunch was the guest speaker at the INOVA Alexandria Hospital Cares About Domestic Violence Awareness Day. The event is held every year during October in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention month. The staff and nursing students were eager to learn more about Shev’s story and how they, as the first line in health care, can intervene in teen dating violence cases. An active question and answer session followed the presentation. Thank you to Debra Evans, Maria Leathers and Karen Bune for inviting DASH to the event.
